Normally, this is not the game that you are watching on TV. Fixed limit poker games start out a little slower than the no limit variety. This is because it isn’t easy to chase players away with you bet. You can only hope that another player at the table raises if you have the best hand.

Pot Limit Texas Hold’em

This type of Texas Hold’em involves placing bets according to the amount present in the pot. Players place bets up to the pot limit. This is very similar to fixed limit, only the betting can skyrocket really fast if two players have great hands.

Because you can bet the amount of money that is in the pot, a large hand can still end up being an all-in situation.
